EA Program
Program Overview
The Emotional Adjustment (EA) Program is a highly structured self-contained therapeutic program for those students who have difficulty accessing the academic curriculum in the general education setting due to emotional/behavioral challenges.
Therapeutic Component
The EA program provides the student with academic, behavioral, and psychological services support for the acquisition of essential self-regulatory, social, and academic skills. The treatment model is based on findings from social learning theory, developmental psychology, cognitive behavior paradigms, and special education. The program incorporates the basic principles of child development, which indicate all children and adolescents need to experience safety, belonging, and competence
